Description

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering periodically seeks temporary, part-time Lecturers to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in one or more of the following areas:

• Environmental and Energy systems
• Hydrology and Water Resources
• Structures, Geotechnics, and Materials
• Transportation Systems

Candidates who can teach across multiple analysis and design courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels are especially encouraged to apply. 

Salary Range 

A reasonable estimate for this position is $8,201.89 - $8,962.67*, per course Salary Point 1 to Salary Point 4. See Lecturer (Unit 18) Salary Rate Table for the salary range for this position. (*Commensurate with experience)

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited university
  • Demonstrated, effective teaching experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required for candidates teaching design-related courses
