Join us Tues., Dec. 7, 2010, as we mark the day 10 years ago when Gov. Gray Davis and UC President Richard Atkinson announced the creation of the California Institutes for Science and Innovation, including the joint award to UCI and UC San Diego for the formation of Calit2. The celebration will include participants from both campuses via a high-speed connection that links the two auditoriums. The mid-morning session will include remarks by the former governer, as well as visionary presentations about the forward path Calit2 will blaze in its second decade. A telematic music performance connecting the two campuses' auditoriums will round out the morning session.
